Press release: Upcoming Beggars Group releases28 May 2014

We’ll be updating our release schedule here in case you’re curious as to what is coming out next on our labels. The next four releases are:

6/3 Fucked Up Glass Boys Matador Records
Glass Boys is the result of 13 months spent in a succession of U.S. and Canadian studios with the assistance of Bill Skibbe and Leon Taheny. But while we’re tempted to make a very big deal about how amazing the recording is, the real story’s in the songs: with vocalist Damian Abraham leaving-it-all-on-the-floor, Fucked Up are tackling tougher questions about themselves, their lives and where this is all going. It’s a blazing, titanic, ultimately triumphant rock album…a heart-expanding, life-affirming piece of work.

Press release: Beggars Group artists at Outside Lands + Glastonbury 9 April 2014

A couple of festivals have recently announced their lineups. UK’s Glastonbury festival will include Interpol (Matador), Warpaint (Rough Trade), tUnE-yArDs (4AD), Jamie xx (XL Recordings) and surely more TBA.

San Francisco’s Outside Lands will include SBTRKT (XL Recordings), Warpaint (Rough Trade) and more TBA.

Press release: Beggars Group bands at Coachella! 1 April 2014

Many of our artists will be making the trek to the Coachella Valley later this month.

Our bands there include: Darkside (Matador), Future Islands (4AD), Queens Of The Stone Age (Matador), Ratking (HXC/XL), and Warpaint (Rough Trade).

+ some of our friends The Cult, Mogwai, Neko Case, and The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion.
